CADDi Raises $114M Series D at $1.2B Valuation
CADDi, a manufacturing AI startup with dual headquarters in Tokyo and Chicago, has raised $114 million in a Series D funding round, bringing the company to a $1.2 billion valuation. The latest capital infusion increases the company's total funding to $234 million.
The funding round included eight new and existing investors. Participants include Moore Strategic Ventures, Coreline Ventures, Woven Capital, HR Tech Fund, Atomico, Globis Capital Partners, and JPS Growth funds.
CADDi plans to use the new funding to expand its product lineup, specifically by building AI models that can interpret manufacturing-specific data such as 3D CAD files and 2D drawings. The company also intends to use the capital to support its global expansion efforts, with a primary focus on the North American market, as well as to increase its headcount.
Founded in 2017 by Yushiro Kato, CADDi provides an AI-powered data platform designed to help manufacturing companies organize and utilize engineering and production data. The company's platform integrates data from diverse systems, including CAD files and enterprise resource planning software, to assist manufacturers in standardizing parts, performing quality impact assessments, and capturing the institutional knowledge of experienced engineers.
